While I was out, I decided to pick up “While She Was Out”. Boy, was that a mistake!

The Plot

40-something, meek, abused, 120-pound woman(Kim Basinger) leaves home on Christmas Eve to go to the mall and is terrorized by the rainbow coalition gang – a white guy(Lukas Haas), a black guy, a Mexican guy and an Asian guy. 40-something, meek, abused, 120-pound woman kicks the shit out of  and kills everyone of  ‘em, and almost sexes up the last of the gangstas before bustin’ a cap in his ass.  40-something, meek, domestically abused, 120-pound wife and mother returns home after finding her “inna-killa” and busts a cap in her abusive husband(he deserved it).

The Good

• Kim Basinger is still a heater at 55 yrs old
• The end where she pops one in her husband’s dome was justice being served, and on Christmas Eve no doubt(brilliant).
• Basinger’s evolution into a stone-cold killer as the movie progressed
• The movie was very short, so suffering was minimal

The Bad

• Kim Basinger, although hot, overplayed the meek, timid, abused role in the first part of the movie
• Lukas Haas performed like he was on stage at the local community center
• The first 30 mins or so of the movie crawled slower than a snail carrying a fridge

The “WTF”

• WTF is up with a bunch of gangstas gettin’ killed by a screw driver and a lug wrench(Seriously)?
• WTF is up with a mom leaving the house on Christmas Eve at what seemed to be 10 or 11pm to go to the mall?
• WTF is up with me pickin’ these flicks with asinine plots and “asstastic” performances?
